Default Skill: Well of Torment

Text: All non-spirit creatures within the well's area receive 10% less benefit from healing and gain +1 Energy Regeneration. Any non-spirit creature that dies within the well's area spawn a masterless shambling horror.

No initial thoughts on cost, recharge, et cetera. +1 isn't a typo; it affects everyone, so everyone's got incentive to hang around inside it and deal with the damage.

Really, I just want a wider Malign Intervention. -.-

Going lore-wise, this would be a Nightfall skill and somehow tied to Realm of Torment.

Also: I would kill a man - or at least say mean things to him - for a zone, somewhere, with this as a global effect. Verata demands it! Politely!

10% not enough

25%-30% and more is when it starts getting hot

Malign's only 20%, though, and single-target; I mean, I'm all for ridiculous instant-death spells, but for an AOE 25-30 seems a little out of reach, considering the single-target one. Unless it would be an elite, I guess.. but I want it normal. =/

Sounds more like a nature ritual than a well...

Indeed; a well affects either friendly or either hostile creatures only, but not both.

Huh, that's true; of course, then you have the problem that a Ranger's nature ritual isn't likely to create undead, yeah? ;P

Wells only effect Foes or Allies, not both.

It should be

Exploit nearest corpse to create a Well of Torment at its location. For ... seconds, foes in that area receive 10% less benefit from healing. If any foe dies while in the Well, a level 1...14 masterless bone horror is summoned.

I'd love to see someone lure a huge group into one of those wells then kill it all off at once. Instant minion army.

´_`
So, instead of a Well Spell or a Nature Ritual, this is what? A "Well Ritual"?
